Google Cloud Print

Google Cloud Print is a service that allows you to print from your phone, tablet, or laptop. This service allows users to print from clients such as Google Chrome, email, and Google Drive.

The official resource on Google Cloud Print can be found here.

Adding Printers

***IMPORTANT *** It will only allow you to link the accounts while you are on campus.

If you only sign into your device with a non-IASTATE account, the first time you print you will receive an email from cloudprint@iastate.edu. It will prompt you to add the printer and to also link your non-IASTATE account with your IASTATE account. This is necessary for you to be able to print. It is important that you add printers while on campus.

Once you finish linking your accounts, you should be able to print from Google Docs, Google Chrome, and other Google-supported applications. For users who authenticate through an IASTATE account, the system should work seamlessly.

Devices

Most phones and devices tested by ETG have worked without issues. If you do experience problems with Cloud Print relating to your device, contact ETG to report the problem and for troubleshooting assistance.

Android – ETG recommends downloading the app Cloud Print from the Google Play Store. This makes it simple to track your jobs and manage printers from your device!

Apple – Apple users should be able to still print through the Google Chrome Browser or other Google Apps without installing an application.
